黙示録第11章「二人の証人」とは何か──42か月の支配と復活の預言

**「二人の証人」**と呼ばれる預言者の出現と、その死、そして復活である。

黙示録第11章によれば、
エルサレムは 42か月（3年半） の間、
異邦人によって踏みにじられるとされている。

限定された苦難の時を意味すると解釈されることが多い。

この支配の期間中に、
二人の証人が地上に現れる。

二人の証人が預言を終えると、
地獄から上ってくる獣が彼らを殺す。

彼らは殺された後も、
葬られることなく、さらし者にされる。

• 人々が二人の証人を憎んでいたこと
• 彼らの死を喜んでいたこと

を象徴している。

地上に住む人々は、
長く苦しめられてきた二人の死を祝うのである。

三日半後の復活と天への昇天

しかし、物語はここで終わらない。

三日と半日が過ぎた後、
神の命の息が二人に入り、
彼らは 復活する。

この光景を目撃した人々は、

• 驚愕し
• 強烈な恐怖に襲われる

そして、天からこう呼びかける声が響く。

「ここへ上がって来い」

二人の証人は、
雲に乗って天へと引き上げられる。

この出来事を、
獣もまた目撃することになる。

大地震と人々の悔い改め

二人の証人の昇天と同時に、
大地震が発生する。

• 都の 10分の1 が倒壊
• 7,000人 が死亡

この未曾有の出来事の後、
生き残った人々は恐れを抱き、
天の神の栄光を讃えるようになる。

ここに至って、
初めて人々は神の存在を真正面から意識するのである。

As a result, the inhabitants of the earth are tormented by their testimony and judgments.

The Beast Kills the Witnesses — and the World Rejoices

When the Two Witnesses finish their testimony,
the beast that rises from the abyss attacks and kills them.

Their bodies are left unburied, exposed for all to see.

This shocking response reflects:

• The deep hatred people held toward the Two Witnesses
• The relief and celebration at their apparent defeat

Those who dwell on the earth rejoice and celebrate, believing the torment has finally ended.

Resurrection After Three and a Half Days

Yet death is not the final word.

After three and a half days,
the breath of life from God enters them, and the Two Witnesses are resurrected.

Those who witness this moment are:

• Overwhelmed with astonishment
• Seized by intense fear

Then a loud voice from heaven declares:

“Come up here.”

Before the eyes of their enemies — and the beast itself —
the Two Witnesses ascend to heaven in a cloud.

A Great Earthquake and a Turning Point

At that very hour, a great earthquake strikes the city:

• One-tenth of the city collapses
• Seven thousand people are killed

In the aftermath, the survivors are filled with fear and finally
give glory to the God of heaven.
