黙示録第11章「第七の天使がラッパを吹く」とは何を意味するのか
神の王権の確立と「契約の箱」が示す終末の謎
ヨハネの黙示録第11章は、
終末預言の大きな転換点を描く章である。
いよいよ、
第七の天使がラッパを吹く瞬間が訪れる。
第七のラッパが告げる「神の支配の完成」
第七の天使がラッパを吹くと、
天において大きな声が響き渡り、こう宣言される。
「この世の国は、
我らの主と、そのメシアのものとなった。
主は世々限りなく統治される」
この言葉は、
単なる勝利宣言ではない。
それは、
- 人間の歴史
- 国家や権力
- 善と悪の争い
そのすべてが、
神とメシア（イエス・キリスト）の支配下に完全に置かれた
ことを意味する、決定的な宣言である。
次章で描かれる「悪の最終的な一掃」
この宣言を受け、
続く章では、
- 神の力
- イエス・キリストの指揮
のもとで、
悪が本格的に裁かれ、排除されていく場面が展開されることが予想される。
つまり、第11章は、
最終決戦の直前に置かれた、王権宣言の章なのである。
天の神殿が開かれ、現れる「契約の箱」
この章の終わりには、
極めて象徴的で興味深い描写が記されている。
「天にある神の神殿が開かれ、
その神殿の中にある契約の箱が見え、
稲妻、さまざまな音、雷、地震が起こり、
大粒の雹が降った」
ここで注目すべきは、
**「契約の箱が見えた」**という一文である。
行方不明とされてきた契約の箱の正体
契約の箱は、
- バビロン捕囚以前から行方不明
- イスラエル最大の至宝
とされてきた聖なる器である。
歴史や伝承の中では、
- エルサレム地下の秘密神殿
- エチオピアに現存している説
- 日本に運ばれたという説
など、数多くの仮説が語られてきた。
映画の題材にもなるほど、
人々の想像力をかき立ててきた存在だ。
黙示録が示す衝撃的な可能性
しかし、黙示録第11章は、
これらの探索説に対して、
まったく別の視点を提示している。
それは、
- 契約の箱は、すでに天にある
- 地上には存在しない
という可能性である。
もしそうであるなら、
どれほど探しても地上から見つからないのは、
当然のことになる。
契約の箱は「天に引き上げられた」のか、それとも…
ここで、二つの解釈が浮かび上がる。
- 契約の箱は、神によって天に引き上げられた
- 契約の箱は、
- 地上の神殿用
- 天の神殿用
二つ存在する
黙示録は、その答えを明確には語らない。
だが、
神の臨在と契約は、もはや地上の建造物に限定されない
というメッセージだけは、はっきりと伝えている。
黙示録第11章が示す核心的メッセージ
第七の天使のラッパと、
天の神殿に現れる契約の箱。
それらは、
- 神の支配が最終段階に入ったこと
- 人間の歴史が、天の視点で裁かれること
- 真の契約は、神の側に保たれていること
を象徴している。
この章は、
終末の恐怖を語るためだけの章ではない。
神の王権と、永遠の契約が決して失われていない
ことを静かに、しかし力強く告げる章なのである。
――私の興味は、尽きることがない。
Revelation, Chapter 11 — “The Seventh Angel Sounds the Trumpet”
At last, the seventh angel sounds his trumpet. When the trumpet is blown, loud voices are heard in heaven, saying:
“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and He will reign forever and ever.”
In the following chapter, it is anticipated that under the power of the true God and the command of Jesus Christ, evil will be completely swept away. However, at the end of this chapter, there is a particularly intriguing passage:
“Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within His temple the ark of the covenant was seen. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.”
Remarkably, it says that the Ark of the Covenant is seen. This sacred treasure of Israel, which has been considered missing since before the Babylonian exile, is revealed to be inside the heavenly temple of God. What does this mean?
Does it imply that the Ark does not exist on earth? The Ark of the Covenant has been the subject of countless legends and even films—said by some to be hidden in a secret underground chamber in Jerusalem, by others to be in Ethiopia, or even rumored to have been brought to Japan. Yet if it does not exist on earth at all, then no matter how thoroughly it is searched for, it would never be found.
Was the Ark of the Covenant taken up into heaven? Or could it be that there are two Arks—one in the earthly temple and one in the heavenly temple?
My fascination with this question is endless.
